Visit St. Peters
The village of St. Peter's in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia has a fascinating history dating to 1650 when it was settled by adventurer Nicolas Denys. Today, the remains of forts which were the first line of defense and a source of supply for the Fortress Louisbourg are waiting to be explored in Battery Provincial Park, were a series of walking trails takes you through the park and around the village.

Sydney
By the early twentieth century Sydney became home to one of the world's largest steel plants, fed by the numerous coal mines in the area under the ownership of the Dominion Coal Company. Sydney's economy was a significant part of Industrial Cape Breton with its steel plant and harbour and railway connections adjoining the coal mining towns of Glace Bay, New Waterford, Sydney Mines and Reserve Mines.

Big Pond Community
Big Pond is situated along the southern side of the delightful Bras d'Or Lakes, an inland saltwater sea of 450 square miles with a coast line of more than 440 nautical miles. Four major rivers the Baddeck, Middle, Washabuck and Deny's feed the lake, as do a series of natural salt springs. Sailing on the Bras d'Or is exceptional, with numerous coves and natural moorings scattered throughout the basin.

Richmond Community
The Richmond Community Access Society (RCAS) is a grassroots initiative formed in the fall of 2002 to address the ongoing concerns regarding the survival of rural Community Access Program (CAP) sites in Richmond County. The Society is a not-for-profit organization with a board of directors representing each of the eleven sites in the County.
